DON'T GO IT ALONE

These are a few of my favorite multi-day tour operators:

  • Intrepid

    • Most reputable tour operator around with hundreds of options, so you're sure to find one that matches your style.

  • G Adventures

    • If you somehow struck out with Intrepid, G Adventures is a solid second option.

  • Contiki

    • Probably best if you're under 30 or so.  This operator has a reputation for being a bit more social (read: party), so if that's your jam, this is your best bet.  Definitely fewer options than Intrepid or G Adventures, so you migtht have to sacrifice some of you "wants" to pick a trip!

  • The Clymb Adventures

    • Have big dreams of kayaking around Croatia? Or trekking through Patagonia? Maybe rock climbing in Spain? If any of that calls to you, this is the site you need.  Plus, they post really solid deals.  My boyfriend and I spent a week kayaking, cycling, and hiking around Croatian islands for about $700-- including nearly everything!

  • REI Adventures

    • More adventure travel inspo!  As you'd expect from REI, you know you're in good hands.

  • Flashpack

    • You won't find a single supplement on any of these trips, so if you're a solo traveler, this should be your first spot to meet other solo travelers! Don't worry about being surrounded by raging teenagers- this company makes a point to connect people with similar interests and in similar life stages, whether you're in yours 20s, 30s, 40s, or beyond.

  • Flashpacker Connect

    • Nope, not the same as the above! This one is again geared towards adventure travel, and not just for solo travelers.
